As you may know !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and I are road tripping across Europe this summer. We expect to meet lots people on our travels, and we may want to give some of these people gifts of appreciation for finding us a place to stay/getting us out of trouble/giving directions/giving us a jump etc.
We won't have much room since we'll be in a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Do you guys have any ideas for gifts we could bring? Is there anything small and American that people would think is a cool gift?
Like !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , follow us on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! or go to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! if you want to find out what kind of people take a road trip in a Lada and to get all the updates.

I would say stuff that you cant get in those country's would be cool. I don't have any ideas though.

That's what I'm thinking too. The problem is I don't know what they can't get that they would want.

I'm trying to think of some cool sweets or things that you can't get over here, but a lot of them have migrated over by now. Oreos, Reese's Pieces, Jelly Belly jelly beans. None of them were available here 5 years ago or so.
The only thing I can think of is not Hersey bars. Those things are nasty.
Which part of the States are you from? Is there anything that you guys do locally?

We're from California. See's Candies is local, but I don't think they're very good compared to what you can get in most of Europe.

What about American coins? Cheap, small and easy to get a hold of.

I hadn't thought of that. That would be easy...

They do look good, but some of the stuff you can find in Switzerland or Germany is just amazing.
How far from San Francisco are you? I remember there being very nice salt water taffy when I visited there. Bonus as it's small and keeps really well too.

They're around but some things like Reese's Pieces/Cups/etc. are still not that common. Jolly Ranchers maybe, I don't think I've seen those around?

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the chocolate selection in Europe.
We're about 6 hours from San Francisco, but I bet they sell some here in LA. Is salt water taffy an American thing? Good idea!

Oh, by the way, the route on your website is wrong. You've got it down as taking the E81 instead of the DN7C between Pitesti and Sibiu.
Your Lada looks pretty cool, the '70s ones look so much nicer than the '80s & '90s ones.

The route on our website is mostly just showing what cities we're going to, not really the exact route (still researching that). That road looks like a lot more fun that the one on our map. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for checking out our site! The 70's Ladas are awesome, with the added benefit of being legal in the US.

Ah, cool. I thought everything over 25 years was legal, or are there some weird extra requirements?
It's the road from this:

I think it is yeah :) I certainly haven't seen it over here very much at all

Had to google what a Jolly Rancher was. Don't think I've ever seen one before :)

Oh man, I'm sure I'll wish I had my Abarth for this road. Looks epic.
We live in California, so we have to get 1975 or before.
